Jacci lives with her husband in Nevada’s high desert. They spend their
mornings hiking through the sagebrush with their dog, Rosie.Jacci loves chocolate, babies, and coffee with friends. She’s worn many
hats in her lifetime: therapist, school counselor, campus minister, and
mom. Her favorite hats are her writer and grandmother hats, which come in wild colors and don’t fit too tightly.

Jacci’s first book geared towards adults, The Retreat: A tale of spiritual awakening, came out on Harper Legend.

Jacci’s middle grade fiction, Bending Willow, is about Riley and Mia searching for a father who doesn’t know they exist. It is the first book in The Finding Home Series. Bending Willow represented Nevada at the National Book Festival in Washington D.C and was a finalist for the Wishing Shelf Contest. In addition, Jacci is the author of the Amazon best-selling young adult novel, The Cage, the first book in The Birthright series, and many other Middle Grade and YA books.

Her YA book, Snapped, is about Snapchat gone wrong and how to stand up to cyberbullying.

Her YA book, Cracker, is an alternative history and helps us understand what it is like to be a marginalized person.

League of Shadows is a collection of thoughtfully curated and carefully crafted items that celebrate the night.

These modern day talismans allow for personal expression and exploration into shadow.

Each item has been selected for its relation to history and symbolism. From Victorian mourning jewelry to spiritual protective iconography, and even to celestial bodies, each item represents a connection not only to the self but to the past. Evoking mystery and intrigue, these unique pieces connect the person to the larger narrative.

Here there is something for everybody as we seek to adorn ourselves with stories – all distinctly familiar while still uniquely personal.

Since 2012, I’ve been making jewelry in Northern Nevada and selling online. In Reno, I can be found annually at Holland Project’s High Desert Art + Craft Fair & The Generator’s Punk Rock Flea Market.

I’m Bethany Ann (Shinee to most), the artist behind Hwy 447 Copper. Being raised by a single dad in the backwoods of central Washington, I have always loved the great outdoors. I grew up swimming & jetskiing on Banks Lake and Lake Roosevelt and hiking and cliff jumping at Steamboat Rock. Every summer we went fishing in the San Juan Islands. The Pacific Northwest was my starting point but the high desert of Northern Nevada is my true home. The expansive landscapes, sierra foothill forests and oasis lakes are my muse. I bring my love for this wild land into all the jewelry I make.
